VOCABULARY UNIT-8

Bakery: panaderia
Departament store: tienda
Petrol station: gasolinera
Take away: tienda para llevar

THE COLOUR

Light colour: it is a light impression that arrives to the eyes which send the information to the brain.
Pigment: it is the sustance that makes the materials for paint and the origenes can be mineral, animal or vegetal.
Hue: it is the tint, the name of the colour defined by its wavelenght.
Saturation: it is the degree of purity of a colour, if a colour is very saturated it means that but it is very pure and dosen't have many colours in its mix.
Value: sometimes called brightess or luminosity. It is the amount of black or white that a colour has in its mix.
Complementary colour: they are pairs of colours which are located une in front of each other on the colour wheel.
Warm range: it is a scale of colours that was more yellow, more magenta, or both in its mixture.
Cold range: it is a scale of colours that was more cyan or blue in its mixture than any other colour.
Grey scale: it is set of colours which only has colours between black and white.

ITALIAN GAME



REGINA, REGINA BELLA
This game has to have a minimum of four participants. One of the players stands in front of the others and sings a song. Then this person shout a number and an animal, the others walk the steps that the person said imitating the animal and finally the person who go there before win the game.

TEXTURES

Texture: it is the visual and tactile quality of the surfaces clue to the material.
Tectile textures: are those that you can percived when you touch it.
Visual textures: are those that you percived it when you look it.
Natural textures: those that you can found in the nature.
Artificial textures: those that are created by the human.
Rubbing technique: it consistd on frietioning or rubbing a crayon or colored pencil on a thin paper which is over a surface with a tactile texture gets copied on the paper.
Scratchboarding: it is a technique that consists when you colored a paper of color pencil and then you put on a cap of black crayon  and finally you scratching and you see the oder colors.

SHAPE

Shape: it is the external appearance of an object or element in a image.
Natural shapes: they are created only by the nature there isn't any help of human.
Artificial shapes: they are shapes that there is created by humans or mechanical procedares.
Organic shapes: they are shapes that have irregular profile or silhouette as well as their inner surface.
Geometric shapes: they are shapes whose parts follow a mathematic order, laws or pattern.
Flat shapes: they have two dimensions such a paper sheet.

THE LINE

Line: continuous succession of points very close together in space.
Zig zag lines: is a pattern made up of small corners at variable angles.
Wavy line: is a type of line that is having curls by ondulation.
Curly line: is a type of line that is having curls or a curved shape.
Scribble: chaotic or meaningless lines that are traced radowly of chilhoold or to fill in some area with a particular texture.
Hatching: it is a way of shading or giving tones to the areas of objects or surfaces with paralels lines.
Cross-hatching: it is a way of shading áreas of a drawing or surfaces with paralel lines in several directions.
Dashed lines: they are lines which aren't continuos formed by little traces or dots.
Blurred:  they are very clear lines that are almost not seen or distinguished.
Siplem lines:  those that are formed by only one line.
Composite lines:  they are lines composed by fragments of several straight and curved lines.
Expressiveness of lines:
Vertical line: they express and ascendent or descendent movement, depending on how they are used.
Horizontal line: they are in horizontal position and they can produce feelings of stability and calmeess or tranquility.
Skew lines expressiveness: they produce visual unsteadiness and movement feelings. These feelings give inclined lines the sensation of dynamism.

THE DOT

Dot: it's the smallest and most simple element in art expresion.
Dot three-dimensional capacity: when the size, shapes and colors are changed, the dot can create visual sensations of spacias deepness and volume
The dot expresive capacity: the point has a unlimited capacity to represent images and to express ideas and emotions.
Optical mix: when you paint whit dots two different colours, the optical mix this colours and form other differnt colour.
