SHAPE

Shape: it is the external appearance of an object or element in a image.
Natural shapes: they are created only by the nature there isn't any help of human.
Artificial shapes: they are shapes that there is created by humans or mechanical procedares.
Organic shapes: they are shapes that have irregular profile or silhouette as well as their inner surface.
Geometric shapes: they are shapes whose parts follow a mathematic order, laws or pattern.
Flat shapes: they have two dimensions such a paper sheet.

THE LINE

Line: continuous succession of points very close together in space.
Zig zag lines: is a pattern made up of small corners at variable angles.
Wavy line: is a type of line that is having curls by ondulation.
Curly line: is a type of line that is having curls or a curved shape.
Scribble: chaotic or meaningless lines that are traced radowly of chilhoold or to fill in some area with a particular texture.
Hatching: it is a way of shading or giving tones to the areas of objects or surfaces with paralels lines.
Cross-hatching: it is a way of shading áreas of a drawing or surfaces with paralel lines in several directions.
Dashed lines: they are lines which aren't continuos formed by little traces or dots.
Blurred:  they are very clear lines that are almost not seen or distinguished.
Siplem lines:  those that are formed by only one line.
Composite lines:  they are lines composed by fragments of several straight and curved lines.
Expressiveness of lines:
Vertical line: they express and ascendent or descendent movement, depending on how they are used.
Horizontal line: they are in horizontal position and they can produce feelings of stability and calmeess or tranquility.
Skew lines expressiveness: they produce visual unsteadiness and movement feelings. These feelings give inclined lines the sensation of dynamism.

THE DOT

Dot: it's the smallest and most simple element in art expresion.
Dot three-dimensional capacity: when the size, shapes and colors are changed, the dot can create visual sensations of spacias deepness and volume
The dot expresive capacity: the point has a unlimited capacity to represent images and to express ideas and emotions.
Optical mix: when you paint whit dots two different colours, the optical mix this colours and form other differnt colour.

SYMMETRY

Symmetry :it is a reflected image forming two equal images
Symmetry axis :a tipe of symmetry where one half is the reflection of  the other half.
Reflection symmetry :a tipe of symmetry where a line through a shape so that each side is a mirror image.
Central symmetry :a tipe of symmetry that there is a point where you have to do lines and croses for a point then you have to do the same form that the other.

CUADRILATERALS

Cuadrilaterals: they are polygons with two sides and four vertices.
Parallelograms: they are cuadrilayerals with two pairs of parallels opposite equal sides and two pairs of opposite equal angles
Tipes: square, rectangle, rhomboid rhombus.
Trapeziums: only one pair of sides are parallels.
Tipes: right, isosceles, scalen, trapezoid

Tipes: Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalen, Right, Acute, Obtuse.

POLYGONS

Star polygon: its a particular polygon that if you link all their vertex together you form a star
Inscribed polygons: they are polygons that are inside of a ciscle so all their vertices are touching the circle
Circunscribed: this polygons have a circle inside
Equiangular: all their corners, angles or vertices are equal
Equilateral: all edges or sides are equal
Regular: all their vertices, angles and sides are equal
Irregular: show different angles and lenght for their sides

ANGLES AND LINES

Parallels: they are lines that they are one in front of the other and never intersect
Perpendicular: they are lines wich meet forming four riht angles
Oblique: they are lines that are forming a cross, they are not perpendicular neither parallels
Angle: it is figure formed by two lines sharing a common endpoint
Tipes:
Complementary angles: they are angles that their addition is 90º
Suplementary angles: they are anglees that their addition is 180º

Center: It is the point equidistant to any of the points on circe.
Radius: Is the line from the center of the circle to any point.
Diameter: Is the line that passes through the center from any point on the circunference to another.
Chord: Is a line that passes through a point of the circnference to an other, but it doesn't touch the center.
Arc: It a part of the line of the circunference

Freehand: Draw by hand without guiding instruments measurement.
Drawing: It is a drawing made whit the help of anything. It is usually use the drawing for architecture or enginiering plans
Compass: It is an instrument used for draw circles, arcs and for measuring distances between two points.
Protactor: Is an instrument to measure angles. Usually it is a semicircular transparent plastic sheet graduated in degrees.
Set squares: They are two specials rulers whit a triangular shapes. One is called the 45º triangle and the other is called the 60º/30º triangle. Both have the 90º angle and use for made angles and parallels lines.
